It is hard to group Black Germans — sometimes also referred to as Afro-Germans — under one umbrella; there is no one description that encompasses the diversity of Black people here. The same year I was born, a seminal work about Black Germans, “Showing Our Colors: Afro-German Women Speak Out,” was published. I think that these are precisely the times when Black community, Black alliances and Black spaces are so important. In 2020, the Black Student Union at the University of Bremen renamed February “Black Our Story Month,” and has been holding Black History Month events every year since, creating visibility for the complexity of Black experiences. The Black community in Germany celebrated its first Black History Month in 1990.

CNN —A Texas judge ruled Thursday that the state’s CROWN Act does not make it unlawful for school dress codes to limit a student’s hair length. The decision is a blow to Darryl George, a Houston-area high school student who sued his school district after he was suspended for months over the length of his locs hairstyle. The trial marks the conclusion to a monthslong legal battle between George and the Barbers Hill Independent School District. The study found more than 110 pro-Wagner accounts operating in more than a dozen languages across Meta’s platforms. A high school football coach in Texas was taken off the job this week after multiple student-athletes had to be hospitalized following a strenuous off-season workout, officials said. Rockwall-Heath HS coach John Harrell was put on paid administrative leave on Tuesday following the workout a week ago Friday that led to player hospitalizations, Rockwall Independent School District representative Renae Murphy said in a statement to NBC News on Friday. Harrell is also athletic coordinator at Rockwall-Heath HS, which is about 25 miles northeast of downtown Dallas. He was named head varsity coach in January 2022 and the Hawks went 7-5 in his season at the helm. The Hawks' final game of the season was a 52-7 loss to DeSoto HS in the 6A DII playoffs on Nov. 17.

The U.S. Education Department’s civil rights enforcement arm has launched an investigation into a North Texas school district whose superintendent was secretly recorded ordering librarians to remove LGBTQ-themed library books. The comments, combined with the district’s subsequent decision to remove dozens of library books pending a review, fostered a “pervasively hostile” environment for LGBTQ students, the ACLU wrote in its complaint. Last year, voters in Granbury elected a pair of school board members who campaigned against LGBTQ-affirming school curricula and library books. “These comments, combined with the book removals, really send a message to LGBTQ students in the districts that: ‘You don’t belong here. A fost înnoit în totalitate dormitorul și a fost procurat mobilier nou ( luând în considerație că acestea nu au fost schimbate de pe timpul URSS), pături, perne și lengerie de pat ( înainte părinții aduceau singuri de acasă). A fost renovată și zona pentru petrecerea orelor cu scaune și mese noi, mobilier și materiale pentru predare. Și desigur cea mai îndrăgită zonă a copiilor a primit o nouă viață fiind procurate jucării și o bucătărie mare modelată pentru joacă. Mulțumită companiei din domeniul IT, ISD și EBS INTEGRATOR a fost posibilă procurarea unui calculator și televizor pentru vizionarea desenelor animate și a materialelor de studii. Recunoaștem că a fost o etapă foarte dificilă dar am insistat și cu ajutorul APL și deputaților din Parlamentul Republicii Moldova am reușit.
